Terms & Conditions for Training Services
- Enrolment in any training program is subject to availability and completion of the registration process, including full payment.
- Fees once paid are generally non-refundable, except in special circumstances at the discretion of KBS Certification.
- Participants are mandatory to attend all sessions, adhere to the code of conduct, and complete assessments or assignments, if applicable.
- Certificates are issued only upon successful completion of the course requirements.
Terms & Conditions for Certification Services
- Clients engaging KBS Certification for certification services must provide accurate, complete, and truthful information relevant to the scope of certification.
- KBS Certification reserves the right to suspend or withdraw certification if false, misleading, or incomplete information is provided, or if the client fails to comply with applicable certification requirements.
- Certification remains valid for the stipulated term, provided the client continues to meet the defined requirements and obligations throughout the certification cycle.
Terms & Conditions for Validation & Verification Services
- Clients must provide truthful and complete data necessary for conducting validation and verification activities.
- Clients must always respond to the KBS findings promptly to meet the agreed timeline.
- Clients must comply with Validation/verification requirements of the standard/ GHG Programme’s guidelines as applicable.
- Clients must ensure that Opinion or reports of factual findings made public are communicated in their entirety.
- Clients must not use the environmental information statement, opinion, report, marks, logos or labels in a manner that could mislead intended users or impair the reputation of KBS.
- Clients must determine additionality, baseline, emission reduction using approved methodologies in project description form/ monitoring report form as applicable and in all appropriate documents as applicable.
- The client shall defend, indemnify and hold KBS harmless from and against any and all costs, claims, actions and demands arising from the services provided by KBS.
- Clients must ensure that KBS Personnel are provided adequate protective equipment for the safety, as applicable.
- Clients must allow KBS to conduct special audits at short notice to investigate complaints, or in response to changes, or as follow up on suspension.
- Clients must pay KBS for the Certification Activities as per the contract.
- Clients must regularly review the applicable GHG Programme's website for updates and changes to documents, rules, references, and standard guidelines.
Terms & Conditions for Sustainability Services
- Clients must ensure that information shared with KBS Certification for sustainability assessments or reporting is accurate, comprehensive, and submitted within agreed timelines.
- Sustainability reports and evaluations reflect the status and performance based on the data provided at the time of assessment; they do not serve as a guarantee of compliance with all applicable legal or stakeholder requirements.
- KBS Certification will not be responsible for business decisions made solely on the basis of these reports or for unforeseen changes in legal or market conditions affecting sustainability performance.
Terms & Conditions for Climate Change Services
- Clients availing of climate change-related services, including carbon footprint assessments, carbon neutrality validations, or related advisory, are responsible for providing complete and verifiable data relevant to greenhouse gas emissions, reduction measures, and mitigation plans.
- KBS Certification will perform evaluations and issue statements based on the data and evidence provided but does not guarantee any future environmental performance, market acceptance, or regulatory approvals.
- KBS Certification is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of climate change service reports or recommendations.
Terms & Conditions for Inspection Services
- Clients engaging KBS Certification for inspection services must ensure that all necessary documents, data, and site access required to carry out inspections are provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- KBS Certification’s findings and reports are based solely on the information and conditions observed at the time of inspection; we do not warrant the continued compliance of inspected products, processes, or facilities beyond the scope and date of the inspection.
- KBS Certification shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising from reliance on inspection results that are later affected by changes in circumstances or undisclosed information.
Confidentiality
While we strive to keep the website content accurate, complete, and up to date, KBS Certification does not warrant that the website or its content will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from technical issues.
KBS Certification shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this website or reliance on any information provided on it.
